Situated along the scenic Silver Strand Highway, just a mile from the beach, Breakwater Town Center serves as an inviting gateway to both Coronado and Imperial Beach. A public/private partnership between the city of Imperial Beach and Sudberry Properties, the 45,000 square foot center situated on 4.75 acres opened in July 2017, and quickly became a lively gathering spot where residents come together to enjoy the coastal atmosphere. Featuring a national grocer, a variety of specialty dining options, and an array of new goods and services, Breakwater has breathed fresh energy into the area. The addition of the Hampton Inn in July 2020 enhanced the town with a much-needed hospitality component, making this revitalized seaside destination even more welcoming. Breakwater Town Center beautifully merges convenience with the charm of coastal living, creating a cherished space for all.
